  • Happy New year to all. 2018 promises to be an exciting year with introductions to A350ULH, regional A350, B787-10, new A380s plus more 77WR refits (our New year's resolution could be to stop speculation on 77WR chances )
Anyways still pity the folks who still may get the last remaining 772s before we can fondly bid them adieu.
    Cheers

oh wow, so if one more goes in for refit, which route will be left with the 3 class 77Ws ?

PEK SQ806/801 will switched 77WR to old 777-300 from 16 this month to early March. I think they are short of both 77W and 77WR. Also, PEK SQ800/805 will be new route for 3 class 77W from late March.

Oh so that’s where the 3-class 77W will go once it gets off SQ237/238 from MEL. I’m not sure whats with the shortage but SWJ is one 77WR that’s been out since sometime before Christmas. It must be some heavy maintenance or something.

EDIT: It's been out since Dec 17.

No, HND remains unchanged from a dummy booking. It's MEL (237/238) that switches from a 77W to a 77WR at the end of March. This means unless we find more info the remaining 3-class 77W routes we have are:

              HND (634/635), NRT (638/637), PEK (800/805).

Sometimes HND may get a 773 but not always.

              • FSJZ when you get a chance can you please update the fleet list?

SWG is a 77WR, SMT already delivered and in service. No other 77W gone for retrofitting at the moment. Thanks!

None from now till March 31. We will have to wait until the Annual Report for FY17/18 is out before we can forecast the fleet movements

With so many ULH A350s and B787s scheduled to arrive, and with their fiddling around with 772 interiors, I'm thinking we could see a few of the older A330s bid farewell, and perhaps some of the second phase A330s are approaching end of lease. I can't imagine any of the hanging around after the first lease expires.

Second phase meaning the SS* birds I presume right.

I suppose this was the press release relating to the 2nd tranche of A330s: https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/s...29Jun2011-1631

Per the article, the 15 A330s are said to be on lease for a minimum lease period of 6 years with an option to extend the lease. They were to have been delivered between 2013 to 2015 (was there any delay subsequently?), which means the first of those 15 birds delivered to SQ could be returned to the lessors in 2019 at the earliest.

                              • a note on 9V-SRL....

SRL has been doing SQ972/975 & SQ982/983 almost daily.
I noticed though, that from 1 March the seat maps for those flights become the 772ERs... which suggests SRL's planned last day in service could well be 28 Feb.

                                I will be on SQ972 on 3 Mar & 14 Mar, we'll see
