  • SQ26 31C

I'm flying on SQ26 this month in seat 31C. I have never flown such a long distance... Wonder what it'd be like. Does anyone have any idea?? Thanks

when I sat on the 777-200 on Y from YVR to SIN my seat sunk in and I could feel the metal and the safety suit on the bottom of the chair. I had to get up every so often because of my sore arse.

I sat in that same seat on SQ11 last August. If the aircraft configurations are the same, I believe you're getting a bulkhead seat. Granted, Economy seats aren't the greatest in the world, but as the check-in agent told me at LAX, "You have the best seat in the house!".

Well, I survived that long LAX-NRT journey. Even managed to access the Net on wireless broadband for 5 hours. I know Connexion is no longer available, but what I want to say is, the journey should be bearable enough to even allow you to do proper work, not to mention sit back and relax.

That's terrible. But from what I know, SQ's 777s have seats with inflatable bases. Was yours fully inflated?

Thanks a lot High Flyer. That's comforting to hear... I know there are longer flights that go into like 30 of hours, but 23 hours is no joke to me as it were. Still I'm really excited. I hope there aren't too many babies and the lavatory doesn't stink (has anyone heard of "Seat 29E" on Continental Airlines?)

This is SQ. The Y lavs tend to be in great condition (i.e., very clean) even at the end of the flight.

Thanks to the great job of Singapore Girls who monitor and clean the lavs periodically during the flight.

You will also get to enjoy SQ AVOD Krisworld with 80 movies + TV shows (sitcoms, documentaries) + hundreds of CDs + games + language learning programs all on demand. This I believe is not possible if you travel on any of the US based airlines.

Is 29E the one next to the lav on CO? If it is, then I have seen a very funny animation about it on YouTube before.

I remember that! Was it CO?

This is the link to the video on Youtube:

and read this link with another link to the actual complaint letter as well as the confirmation of CO's Continental Customer Service that this was a genuine complaint, except the seat is actually 29D and not E on all its 737-800s.

Sorry to divert from the thread but it is funny.

Don't worry about it! I was the one who brought it up anyways. And yes, that was the story I was talking about... Somehow I always feel that the written complaint with the graphics is funnier than the video....

But bulkheads should be quite ok. Then again, IMO, if the flight is relatively empty (which should be rare on SQ25), the best seats are still the unoccupied rows of 4 to stretch out

Probably not. But ya the flight is bareable. If you sit near the galley's you can chat with the flight attendants, they are quite the chatty bunch.

I was hoping for exactly that... But I checked, and it was an almost full flight from SIN-FRA, and it might potentially be empty for the FRA-JFK sector. This is the information I gathered from www.seatcounter.com (AWESOME site) and doing a bit of bogus booking on SQ's website.

depending on the aircraft type - 31C is a aisle seat - but it could be a "windowless" row. Never liked a windowless seat as one can tell esp when it comes to landing when the wheels actually would touched the runway - and esp cant see anything outside.
