Just leave 14K for me.

If on a short or day time flight then 14A/K (just like 17A/K on the fat plane) are great seats. However, on red eye's or any flight that I want to sleep on I have reluctantly started avoiding those because as much as the crew try to keep the noise from the galley to a minimum, you are straight across from them and noise is inevitable.

True. But I use ear plugs when I want to sleep on planes anyway. With them, the noise does not bother me. Plus between meal services, there is pretty much no noise from the SQ galleys. Other airlines have much noisier galleys.
