    what is the ICargo website?
it's not all that well known
was another poster on here that mentioned it a while back

    http://www.icargo.net

click on the Flight Enquiry button to go to a search

it's a bit clunky but you get a lot of information like where the plane came from/is heading next and what gate it left from/arrived into

Used to be a very accurate website a year ago but these days it's rubbish which is a real shame.

SQ366 only operates 3x weekly and in the last 8 days it lists 11 entries. iCargoNet is far more accurate but only allows single date enquiries.

On Oct 20, SVB flew SQ366 which is listed on fr24 as both Oct19 and Oct 20.

SVH is listed on Oct 21, but there is no flight on that date.

There was actually a flight on Oct22 which could be mistaken for Oct21 as it is a 1am departure, but this was flown by SVE according to iCargo.

Flightradar says SVE is heading to AMS. Search SQ324 on fr24 and you will find both SVM and SVE headed to AMS on this date. ICargo says SVI flew this flight on the same date.

The problem with fr24 is that when you check the flight listing against the aircraft listing, they don't match up and there are frequent multiple and parallel entries. Some flights can't be searched for, such as SQ207, yet when you search by aircraft, you find entries for that flight. As I said, it's sad because it used to be a great source of info.

flightradar24 needs a new slogan- "Intended For Novelty Purposes Only"
So you're saying that there's no way to actually know for sure what aircraft is operating what sector on flightradar24?

        • Flightradar24 and flightaware are both agreeing with each other on few tail# queries I searched.

          • Well I'm questioning the data on flightradar. Where does it come from? What is the source? Who inputs it?

They essentially have a network of aviation enthusiasts who plug tracking equipment into their computer that then automatically feeds data into their servers. As it doesn't get interpreted and analysed by somebody in a control room, it needs to be seen for what it is- a collection of records collected by amateurs using amateur equipment, fed without checking into an automated database.

Quite often it will be fairly accurate, and it certainly shows and presents the results in a really user-friendly manner. Like Wikipedia, it's a fantastic resource because it's free and fits in your pocket, but volunteers aren't always right, and when they're not, its often hard to remove their generous, yet inaccurate donation!

            • I guess SVK going on refitting process. SVK last flew on 29 OCT so it about 72 hours from now. Hope it's not just going on maintenance.

Very Likely. CHC will get the refit for the extra flights ( SQ295/6) starting from December so i guess SVK will be ready by then. SQ297/298 however, will not be getting the refits anytime yet...

                • Well, SVK was probably under maintenance since it did SQ281 today.

                    • I took SQ297 on SVO recently and it was unrefitted as expected. IFE was bad though and crashed thrice during the flight...

                        • I'm booked on SQ298 CHC-SIN early March 14 - old configuration shown in my seatmap so far. Still didn't completely give up however, that I might be enjoying the refitted cabin. Any hopes?

I'd say your aircraft will be refitted by then. It is supposed to be all finished by the end of March.

Thanks! I will keep an eye on my booking and will report back here should the seatmap change to the refitted layout anytime soon.

                              • Travelled recently on SQ297/298 - both still old configurations.

Asked the travel agent on my return and was informed that the retrofitted config is scheduled for February 2014 at this stage.
