Hi All,
I have a ticket for sub-sin-mel return flight on Y next november, E booking class. My travel agent made a mistake, I asked for F seat, but she booked me Y instead.
I've flown half of the itinerary (sub-sin-mel) but for the return I want to upgrade to F class. I'm hesitating as from the website, one way ticket costs around AUD 4,000 and return is about AUD 6,000. Do I have to pay the difference for upgrade for 1 way ticket or half of return fare? Thanks.

You want F and did not notice that you got Y? Funny story.

Why don't you call your travel agent to begin with? She has to change and reissue your ticket in any event.

Your base fare return in Y SUB-MEL is 1.640 AUD. In F it's 6.840 AUD.

Your 'upfare' from Y to F on the return will cost you 2,600 AUD plus a slightly higher fuel surcharge.

I know it's really silly, I booked the ticket about 2 days before departure, and I found out when I arrived at the airport to check in. So, the difference that I need to pay is based on the return fare? That's good then, I thought I have to pay 3000+. thanks.
