The MI B737 deal is such a statement to Airbus, "don't be too sure". The switch to Boeing for MI doesn't make any sense and will be a nightmare for operations (pilots, crews, maintenance) until the fleet is transformed to Boeing. But the statement is clear.

So for example during the years after the A340-300 left and before the A380 arrived, the greater SIA group still operated the A320 in addition to SQ's A340-500. Not that SQ was any less important to Airbus during that period since there were A380s on order and SQ's order was instrumental in the A380 program launch.

SQ bought the 787-10 for short & mid-haul flights because it is the best plane at the moment for that mission profile. Its better than the A359 for those missions.
It's a narrower cabin than A359s and people are complaining about cramped seats!

A while ago there was a thread on this on SQTalk. Looking forward to these seats although they apparently tend to be narrower than even the standard 2-2-2 seats.
