Flight date Changed without being informed

My friends booked a silkair ticket thru zuji to changsha(China), on the 12 Sept 2012(MI 954) but the flight was canceled and they were re-booked on the 10 Sept 2012(MI954) flight
and worst they were not inform of the change
when we found out about it today by check for flight details
we called up silkair and they said my friends were re-booked on 10 sept as there is no more 12 sept departure
What can my friends to ask for iternary change?
they need to depart on the 12 as it is a business trip
they have commitment on the 10,11 hence they can't go early

SQ should have informed Zuji; Zuji should have informed the passenger.

Call Zuji. Your friend is entitled to be rebooked, without charge, to different flights on others carrier on the same day, or a full refund.

If the 1st sector has not yet been flown, the TA will have to do.
But if it's an urgent situation and it's Silkair's cancellation, they may be willing to take over that reservation
