Kinda surprised that MI is assigned a new Boeing customer Code "SA" instead of retaining SQ's "12".

    Any pictures of it yet?

Images of the seats on the B738s. Business class seats look similar to the current ones.

No PTVs, I read in the article below that each seat will have power outlets and audio, content will be available through WiFi streaming.

If MI's routes are going to be extended in duration in the future, I can't imagine how they can get away with not having some entertainment on the flight either through wifi streaming or delivered in-seat.

I also don't see why, with SQ having the class leading regional J products, plus their extensive code sharing connections for SQ longhaul pax, they would not even try to provide a better J product.

Even Dragonair is retrofitting their planes to be in the same league as CX.

What to do? Management decides to embark on a conservative route.

Isn't the first 737 supposed to have a 25th Anniversary paint scheme?

If it is still happening I hope it isn't stickers.

I really hate the SilkAir livery, looks really old fashioned on the 737.

This would have been a good opportunity to update the branding and livery. The SilkAir font looks very 90s, it doesn't have the timeless look of the Singapore Airlines font.

I often wonder why they named it SilkAir in the first place. OK, better than Tradewinds, but SILK is a very Thai Airways thing (Smooth as Silk, Royal Silk etc) .....

Anyway, the livery is so 1990s and needs a refresh, even a minor one, esp with a new fleet coming in. The hard lines of the livery is hardly silky ....

I rather like the seagull livery but I hate the font. Fonts that look even remotely near Times New Roman don't appeal to me. These things are more suitable for newspapers.

                                MI B738 now in Singapore.
And for those who wished for some update to the livery, your wishes have been granted.
( Not sure if it's permanent though)
