  • Is SQ reducing Milan and Barcelona?

According to winter 2012-2013 SQ schedule it seems that Milan and Barcelona will lose tuesdays and fridays flights. Do anyone know something about this?

Apparently, I was looking at SIN departure, not the other way around. Yes, SQ378/377 will reduce from 4 to 2 weekly, therefore overall service to MXP and BCN will be down to 5 weekly.

I flew a SIN-MXP-BCN service in March. Loading in Y was quite full, but 90% emptied the plane at MXP. There's no way continuing to BCN would have been worth the extra fuel needed for a second take-off. I doubt there was even 40 passengers in the plane in total. BCN T1 was like a ghost town.

Oh no! I have a Tues departure in Jan 2013 Barc - Spore via Milan. I haven't received any notification! Will they (sq reserv. office?) contact me?

"Singapore Airlines starting 28OCT12 is reducing operation on Singapore – Milan Malpensa – Barcelona route, from 4 to 2 weekly. Overall service to Barcelona and Milan Malpensa will reduce from 7 to 5 weekly as a result."

I rang reservation, emailed them and spoke to a local travel agent. They all insist that my flight is confirmed and there are no changes (even tho' airlineroute.net info says otherwise).

Wow! I'm impressed SQ managed to get a 1745 GRU departure.

Yes, and the layover in BCN is slightly over 2 hours, 35mins longer than the GRU turnarounnd.

Yeah, they must be really happy about that. The previous timing meant the BCN-SIN sector was not very useful for passengers wanting to transfer to a lot of destinations at SIN.
