  • J cabin luggage storage on 77W?

Sorry for the ignorant question, but I once got burned by this before (upper deck on 744). Are there overhead bins for 22" rollaboards on the 77W in business class?

    Thanks.

In 744, upper deck, there is no big bin except the closet. I think it's common on the airlines I have flown: UA, SQ, TG and LH (F class) upperdeck-744. As an example, when flying LH F, I can tell the pax who had not been on 744 upper deck, because the pax will look for any overhead bins, and many would get upset when the FAs told the pax the bags will be in the closet near the stairs and galley.
That's one of the reason why I prefer main cabin when flying SQ C. Big overhead bin. (Yeah almost every one here knows I am a very heavy traveller. )

77W is different story. The F cabin has no overhead bin, but C cabin, yes plenty of overhead bin.

however, there are no centre bins - only at both sides.

Is the available bin space sufficient or can it get tight with a full business cabin?
Is the crew rest area located where the center bins normally would be?

It can get tight but you can put stuff underneath your own seat areas so it's not too bad. There is no crew rest area above the J cabin, they have just removed the centre bins to make it appear more spacious.

I don't quite get this obsession with removing overhead bins myself but it seems to be the in thing these days.

Did 2 flights last week and both had full cabin. Seemed OK to me. Was in 21K out of MXP, many had big shopping bags in addition to the usual cabin bags and all were accomodated.
