It was already a couple of days past my birthday

Congratulations. Now I don't want to try and query you knowing when your birthday is , but was it definitely a couple of days past your birthday ?. The reason I ask is, as I have just posted, the rules is +/- day to qualify for the upgrade, and you seem to have been outside this:

I suspect that this benefit applies on your birthday month, +/- a couple of days. The reason I know is that I recently flew ~10 days after my birthday. Several days before the flight, I called up to make changes to seat reservations and the agent casually noted that there's an order for a birthday cake for my PNR. I told her I did not make this request and told her to take it out. On hindsight, I suspect that if I'd let it be, I might have got an upgrade as well ??????

Also, a LPP friend also flew a few days after his birthday on LHR-SIN and got upgraded to Suites as well. Unfortunately, he was flying with his wife and only he was entitled to the birthday upgrade, which he declined of course.

Based on my postings, any observant person could very easily triangulate my birthday! I can say that the bracket of dates is definitely equal to +1 and +2 in my case - since I got two upgrades on two separate dates consecutively.
