Given the longer flying time and the celebrations onboard, can't say I'm surprised!

Currently seated in the UD for SQ748, i'm afraid it might be a bit quiet with more atmosphere downstairs, debating whether it's worth the switch.

SQ748 HKG-SIN 1445-1930

with a duty time of 13:30, i guess it will burst their FTL limits if it was a turn

And they would not be doing a turn. A different set of crew will be operating each flight. I have 3 crew friends operating the final SQ748! They will be paxing up to HKG a day earlier.

Hope your SQ747/748 turns out a bit like my SQ107 this morning.

Departure 32R from KUL, went down south past batam and turned back north but then had a runway change to 20C - turning a 160
Nautical mile straight line trip into a 270 nautical track mile roundabout journey that lasted way too long for my liking ...
