Self-service check-in kiosks are no longer available for Singapore Airlines (SIA) customers at Changi Airport.

The airline recently pulled the plug on the machines, citing low usage as more travellers opt for Internet or mobile check-in.

Can't say I'm surprised. Never used them as far as I can remember.

Is a wrong design at wrong position anyway. Is good to hear it is finally gone.

Yes and sadly I was part of the hideous machine project team. I'm so glad it's going. Anyway the project was cannibalized by the almost concurrent launch of Internet Check-in. Good planning I must say.

The system works (I think). Whether the process works or not is debatable.
