choice of seats in Y?

Hi guys, I'd always presumed that they charge extra for exit row seats but seems that's only for the aisle seats. Opting for 31K on the 773 (SYD-SIN) and 44K on the 77W (SIN-LHR), both being windowless seats by the exit door i think?

normally i'm happy with standard aisle seats but thought i'd try this for a change. what do you think?

I think you will find out most seats in the exit rows next to the door don't have any extra leg room due to the emergency slide/raft in the door taking up leg room, which is why some airlines won't consider them a "Prefered Seat".

ahh yes i did look up seatguru before posting but it said only some of the space was taken up by the door i.e. meaning really no advantage in taking that seat at all?
