Hmm starts too late for me. Flying to CTS by end Oct and could have done without the connection in Tokyo. But then I prefer my C seat on the 77W to NRT over the 772 they plan on using to CTS and the NH lounge in NRT is also nice so I will survive I guess .

However, I agree that for winter skiing season the service it stops way too early. Also the flights seem to operate only on Sat & Sun (6, 7) so you have to stay a week there before heading back.

I think CTS has an airport curfew of sorts; it would be difficult for SQ to operate service there at ideal timings, furthermore CTS is really a tourist market, makes no sense for SQ to operate there regularly.

                PUS could go permanent.

There's rarely any snow in Busan.

But twice weekly for only 3-4wks looks like a lot of effort for what might be a very limited return.

May I know if the 2x weekly PUS flights are open for reservation to the public?

Would much prefer flying to PUS and a long (but comfortable and steady) train ride to Wonju as compared to flying into ICN and taking the dreaded 3.5hr bus ride... I can't seem to book PUS on the SIA booking engine though~

Don't think it is available to the public. Only can be booked through tour agents as the charter flights mostly comprises entire tour groups. And some onward/return sectors may be operated empty.

Just did a trip to Chan Brothers and seems like the Sapporo run is for the upcoming 7D Hokkaido package from looking at the departure dates

What a shame it's a month late and only temporary. I need to get from Busan to Singapore in October, and am still surprised there is no direct flights.

It was only a few years ago that even HKG scrapped together daily return flights to BUS via the KA schedule but given Busan's industrial position in Korea I too am surprised only Bangkok, Hong Kong and Manila offer flights from this area.
