  • SQ 638/637 Operated By A333 From 17th April

Looks like loads in overnight flight to NRT is quite low. Flight changed from 388 to 333.

SQ637/638 (between Singapore and Tokyo Narita)
SQ638 (Singapore – Tokyo Narita) and SQ637 (Tokyo Narita – Singapore) will be operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft instead of Airbus A380 aircraft from 17 and 18 April 2011 respectively, with the exception of SQ638 on 28 April and SQ637 on 29 April, which will be operated by Airbus A380 aircraft. From 1 and 2 July 2011 respectively, SQ638 and SQ637 will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

          We can always dream...

But really, unless they start SIN-TPE-JFK and premium loads are good, we probably won't ever see a SQ A380 in TPE.

Taipei is currently served by a330s only. There is no first class on this route. It's very unlikely to have the route upgraded from no-first-class to suites.

I think it is more likely to have HKG - SFO upgraded. Or some Chinese cities. And with CX gradually rolling out their new products, competition out of HKG is more intense than TPE.

Air France and LH are already starting to fly A380 to SFO this summer. I hope SQ will start one too.

Somebody confirm if SKL is already out? Otherwise any speculation to anywhere beyond Asia for Whalie is impposible atm.

I believe, by the time SQ goes 77W again on 638/637, another two Whalies would probably on in service which makes the substitution possible.

Was on SQ637 today to SIN. J class was pretty full but Y is looking very sad. Looking around the waiting area for boarding. I think there may only be about 30 to 40 or so pax.
