Stop over in Munich

Dear All,

I am flying from LON - SIN then SIN - MAN with the stop in Munich.
I am trying to book through the website but I cant seem to get a stopover in Munich for a day or two- the fare goes to astronomical amounts...it would be cheaper to get off and get a LH or LX flight back to the uk!

Anyone know if you actually can do a stop in Munich?

Any ideas why the price goes up so high?

I was trying to do a flight out of LON and back into MAN via MUC - perhaps I should do MAN-SIN-MUC-MAN instead?
