Evian water on SQ C

I recently flew long-haul C with SQ. I was given Evian bottled water instead of the SQ own label water. Is this against the rules?

I think the SQ labeled water are only uplifted on flights departing from SIN. From some outstations, other brands are uplifted.

my flight was from SIN, the water must have from downstairs? a passenger asked for evian water but was declined? is it on the menu?

Come on! SQ has every right to cut costs and serve cheap water to premium pax. It's their prerogative to determine or change the beverage lists.

However it's a bit of a stretch to think it the law of the air that a J class pax can't be served a $1.50 bottle of Evian...

Wow, I thought it was just me - I'm not allergic but I think I fell sick once drinking it. I really do not prefer Evian much at all. If SQ were to have Fiji water onboard...

I am not sure if I have been misunderstood.... Evian water would be preferable to SQ's private label bottled water, but I assumed Evian was only made available to Suites guests, so it was an example of bringing products from another class which I thought was a big no-no for SQ. I personally didn't care, I just thought it was interesting, that's all.

Forget about Fiji water - I prefer the purity and taste of Singapore NEWater myself!

Then stay at The Putman, Hong Kong... They will replenish you with Fiji water every day....

My experience is variable as well, on 3 long haul flights on SQ J, 2 of which I got the SQ bottled water, and the other one I got Evian. I am thinking not being very consistent, something which SQ is not known for

Are you friggin serious? What is there to be 'allergic' about? Its WATER !!

Taste maybe... but there is nothing to be 'allergic' about.

Give me Evian anytime - over the so called water that SQ stations uplifts. Now that's crap.

Oh gawd.. who mentioned VOSS.

VOSS from Norway.. by the way, is NOT from the town of VOSS which actually exists. VOSS water is from a tap (literally) in Vatnestrøm, Norway. My Norwegian friends laugh whenever they see people request for Voss water in Norway cos the water tastes better out of a tap than Voss water they say.
