  • OZ J vs SQ New Regional J

I am looking at redeeming *A Award from SYD-KIX/NRT. For SQ I can only redeem their Regional J (SYD-SIN-KIX) and not their A380/77W J offering.

Can anyone comment on OZ Business Class offering (SYD-ICN-KIX/NRT), in particular OZ J SYD-ICN on their 777's? Are they better or worse than SQ J Regional seats? I know both offer "almost lie flat" seats.

I have tried SQ J new regional on SIN-SYD 2 months ago and was very satisfied with their hard/soft product, as well as their SilverKris lounge in SIN, but I was just wondering whether OZ would be a better choice.

For Fuel Surcharges alone i'd go with OZ. SQ's gonna cost you easily 180 USD in YQ.

They are both very similar. Actually OZ has a little bit more legroom than SQ but its 2-3-2 vs 2-2-2 so SQ is marginally wider; at least on the 777. If it were me, I have no qualms flying OZ. Soft product is also very good.

Thank you for the feedback. Just wondering if I booked a mixed SQ/OZ/NH using *A award, do I still get the hideous YQ surcharges for SQ leg, or that will go away? It seems that SQ charges arm and leg if I book all SQ flights.
