got back from the LH ticketing office not too long ago. it was very crowded with folks wanting to buy tickets to CGK. indicative price to Europe is SGD 5139 excluding taxes and surcharges, before 50%

-no code share
-3 month validity
-non refundable.

I got a ticket in Biz (SIN-FRA-SIN) for Chinese New Year. Fare class is Z (LH's lowest fare class for Business):

Fare is SGD 2.815, tax is SGD 510, total ticket ist SDG 3.325. SQ's fare to Germany is close to SGD 2.000!!!

Total milage earned on LH is over 30.000 miles (that's 25% of an award in biz!).

SMK77 - I think your post is lacking a punchline of some sort. Right now, it reads as, SQ's Y fare is $2000 vs a LH Z fare of $3325, a difference of 66.25% more?

What are you missing? Flying in Business Class - and LH's Business Class is quite decent - for just 66.25% more over SQ's Y fare looks like a terrific deal to me. SQ's cheapest J fare to FRA is 6.397 SGD - that is twice the price...
