  • LHR-SFO Which side of the plane????

Have anyone taken on UA flight from LHR to SFO. Which side of the plane on window seat that you can see the Golden Gate bridge before landing?? Seat A or J...

I remember a few years ago when I was flown on Virginatlantic I sat on J seat which I couldn't be able to see..

    Anyone know?

The Golden Gate is nowhere near the airport !

There is no guarantee really - depends on which direction the plane is landing.

Best views for transatlantic flights I find are always the K sides, right sides. You don't get the sun in your eyes when flying westwards.

I've done many trips LHR-SFO. (Mainly on VS).
All the flights tend to fly over San Francisco itself; then, they do a sharp U- turn to perform the landing.
Best views of the city and bridges are from the 'A' seats.
      I always had a fantastic view...weather permitting!

It that fly path is followed, then it would be the left side of the plane that would view the bridge as the plane flies south, along the coast, correct?
