  • UK - JNB in J Best *A ???

    OK heres an odd question..

i have to meet some clients in JNB over next coupla weeks...NO specific date required, just tie em all down :

Options as I see them :

Fly down to JNB with SAA from LHR (Sleep all night), arrive early AM, stay day at airport in meetings, leave eve (sleep all night!), arrive LHR early am refreshed

BUT this flight is over £3500

My other option (as i see it) is to go Indirect with Swiss (or similar) which adds a bit of time and effort on...but saves a little money...

Any input from you guys on best beds (SAA pretty good according to flatseats.com) ??

Bear in mind that INDIRECT (eg swiss/klm/af) would allow me to go from my home aiport (saves me a 2 hour drive this end)

    Any thouhgts ???
Have we flown/are we flying together ?

Don't SAA have fully flat beds in J ? That would swing it for me but YMMV.

      Swiss looking good

Swiss from BHX (V local for me) via ZRh is over a thousand £ cheaper...adn similar times (once drive to heathrow is factored in!)

Might do that....UNLESS some one here tells me something i dont know about swiss!!!

You could even go from EMA as opposed to BHX if you don't mind the routing EMA-EDI-LHR on BMI as a starter

EDIT Damn shame one can't simply fly EMA-LHR

Over a thousand quid is slightly more than what I read your original post as saying!

( I used to go EVERYWHERE via AMS in the good old days when KLM uk went EMA-AMS...)

But anyone got any views on swiss ? (due to crazy work schedule, i NEED to sleep on board!)

If sleep is your priority I would go with SAA as I much prefer lie flat to slopping seats for sleeping.
