IIRC, that's only on LH, LX, OS (and other M&M-affiliated airlines?), however. You won't get lounge access or the extra baggage allowance across *A airlines.

And a warm welcome to SQTalk, Fumio.

And for 35,000 miles, you can be Star Alliance Gold on Air Canada Aeroplan program. Surely beats the Miles&Less FTL (unless one happens to fly paid F or C, in which case is one of the best program and actually be Miles&More along with BD program)

      And, welcome to SQT, Fumio.

It's only 30 kilos (like Business Class), not 40, which is for Senator (and First Class).

The access to Business Lounges / Frequent Traveller Lounges is a bit different in regulation. If you think about the Business Lounges / Frequent Traveller Lounges in Germany, you are right. Outside Germany you are only allowed into Business Lounges if they are operated by Lufthansa (or sometimes OS, LX), not if they are operated by another Star Alliance Partner.

SO you can enter the LH C Lounge in ZRH usually, but not the JK C lounge in BCN or MAD. But a least last year, you are allowed to enter the LX C lounge in ORD as FTL (at least if flying on OZ - was FT&L at this time and I asked before I showed my invitation by OZ).

But you are right, FTL is in my eyes one of the best Star Silver Programms. I have been FTL for two year and together with a Priority Pass gets you at the most airport lounge access (FTL in Germany and Europe) and PP in the rest of the world.
