Redemption KF Miles to Air NZ or Virgin

Ok... the KF site is so well designed and well works so well.... I cannot get it redeem my points to another Star Alliance Carrier. Been trying to jump BNE to LOS via AKL and it goes nowhere fast.

Looking at StarAlliance site couldn't locate a calculator to work out Miles either - sure they had one a year or so back.

So question is - how to book or find out how many miles? KF says 95k but not entirely sure.

Also anyone know if you can use KF to book at Virgin flight to USA instead?

You'll have to call Krisflyer if you want to use your miles on Virgin Atlantic or any Star Alliance partner. Only SQ awards can be booked online.

To calculate the number of points you need, just click on 'Redeem miles - Partner airlines' under the PPS Club/Krisflyer section of the SIA website.

They got a bunch of tables which you can use to figure out how many miles you need for travel between different zones.

No offence but don't think even with the old website you can do redemption for *A flight.
