  • [TG] Thai Airways Returns 747 to the LAX Route

Looking at the current schedule, apparently, TG has put the 747 on the BKK-ICN-LAX route effective March 31, 2013. Now...TITA, so you never know what will happen, but it's on paper.

F is wide open for the kids who plan ahead.

Yes, it's the frozen tundra of a cabin, but with the absence of F on TG to the USA being so long, I'll take more F options to SE Asia anytime. And I do dig the arrival service. Pair that with AOT or a car to the hotel and I'm golden.

Aside from having to press the faucets for water, of course...

hahahahaha You know, my hands were so frozen and the flight was much shorter, I didn't notice. And BTW, it's HOLD the levers down on those faucets.

hahahaha I was expecting the next ribbing to come from MAN Flyer, but I knew you wouldn't be able to resist either.

While this has been rumoured for a while I am afraid TG have a rather poor recent history of 'launching' F and then slowly and quietly dropping it. I have been 'done' with F bookings to CGK, DPS and SIN in the last year and a half. All booked and confirmed but by the time the flight came around F had been dropped. They may well actually go ahead with F to the US as I know they feel they need to have it to compete with certain other regional airlines, and as they tend to seel F pretty cheap it may well do OK. Just don't count on it 100%.

They have just stitched me up, again, for a flight in a few weeks. I am booked in F for BKK-FRA next month in what was supposed to be a flight in their refurbed 744s with new F. But, TG being TG they have gone and delayed the launch.

Just curious - did they ever get down to reinstating F on the SIN-BKK runs?

                  Sorry for OT

On this, I think we can all agree!

Oh no! I was considering that flight, but knew it would be TG'ed.
