  • F is back on SIN-BKK !

Available to book from May onwards...... with *A partner TG.

I was looking for award seats for July and saw that TG413 BKK-SIN @ 11:15 down and TG414 back up @ 15:55 (plus 30-60 mins Changi delay time...) are operated by A346, with F available to book. It seems to start on May 1st.

Now, before anyone gets carried away, TG are bar stewards for 'launching' F on regional routes, only to stitch you up when the time comes with a two class aircraft. They have done this to me a few times in the last 18 months to both CGK and DPS. Both routes got an F cabin and each time we ended up on a two class 777. The only time I got in 'F' was on CGK-BKK once when our 777 went tech in CGK so they sent a Scandanavian 747 instead and I got a seat in the nose.

I'll move this to the *A board when enough have seen it.

Oh dear - isn't Keith MEL supposed to be flying a TG346 SYD BKK next Dec. Wonder what they are subbing on that route - an old config 744?

This is TG so I'm game for anything! It's a day flight so we shall be right after a bottle of Dom or 10! FYI TG's system is showing a 346 but Amadeus is telling us that we're on a 744...

I believe they are taking A340-600 off Milan for a start.

Haven't had a 744 of late on 410/401, so the soft F trick hasn't had a chance to work anyhow. Here's hoping for tomorrow night!

SYD is not in much danger of losing the F cabin, just the risk of them sending the crappy config 747s down there since they swapped from the 346 to 747.

If I book on this sector which is subsequently TG'd, I actually wouldn't care quite so much as long as they give me F ground services. (And possibly a THB-filled envelope, if downgraded on the day).

On such a short flight, the only thing that really makes any real difference to me (especially on the likes of TG) is the F ground services...

Might as well start buying lottery tickets, right?
(In all seriousness, I have seen reports of this happening although seemingly only when the moon is perfectly aligned with at least 5 planets of the Solar system)

When we got stitched up on BKK-DPS (I expected it, so I just smiled when they told us...you get like that if you fly TG enough...) we got access to the F lounge at BKK and at DPS they sent TG groundstaff to the gate to meet us and escort us through diplomatic/express channel. Handy at DPS, which can be mayhem at times.
