Certainly agree with that. The Scandinavians do have good taste. Personally though it has too much of a white-theme for a cold country. I think a woody look with faux fireplaces would be better - but then again it may look dated.

Used this lounge a few times this year, and I agree it's very nice. To be honest I find the whole flying AY and going to HEL and back experience very enjoyable.

Thanks for the many photos, Carfield.

Does it mean that if using the lounge but not on an AY coded flight, the drinks are not free (as per the sign above) ?

Just an excellent lounge in general! I arrived a bit early in the lounge for my American Airlines to capture all these pictures. It was definitely worthwhile. The lounge allows much room for solo travelers and small group travelers. Food selection is extensive and I need to give credits for allowing many electrical outlets for a modern traveler, which often carry many electronic gadgets. It is very spacious and I think it can handle the couple wave of international bank. Although the 2pm USA bank (JFK and ORD) were quite small, it seemed okay to handle the number of Airbus long haul flights at early afternoon and late night.

I had the fortune to spend a few hours at the brand new Finnair International Lounge at Helsinki Vantaa Airport Terminal Two, and what a surprise – this lounge is way better than what is called a lounge previously. Please note this lounge is located in the non-Schegen area and is only available to international and non-Schegen (mostly UK and Russia) flights operated by Oneworld carriers and a number of other international carriers.
