MH will cancel flight if....

Whilst on my flight from JNB to KUL today and chatting with the crew onboard, they told me that MH will cancel any flight if the load factor is less than 40% in all classes. But if F or J are full and economy is empty, they will still fly.

MH would rather transfer passengers than lose money on a flight! Last week a KUL-PER was cancelled and all passengers transferred to TG or SQ instead!

But the cancellation would occur 24 hours prior to flight time though.

Presumably only cancelled if loads are very low in both directions, otherwise would defeat the purpose.

As for PPSV, I doubt it. Revenue to SQ is no doubt at an industry rate thus ineligible.
