Qantas has been flying continuously for longer than any other airline in the world - for over 87 years. We were the first airline to introduce business class in 1979, our operational standards are world leading, and we remain the true pioneer of long haul air travel.

The first phase of this new campaign will run from April to August 2008 in North America, the United Kingdom and in Asia.

The campaign features some of our First Lounge staff and Cabin Crew, and is set to a new soundtrack of the Australian classic 'Land Down Under'.

The campaign will be viewed worldwide online, as well as being seen overseas on television, outdoor billboards, and in newspapers and magazines.

Cool that they're placing some emphasis on the frontline staff, which IMO are one of the airline's many strengths.

Isn't that one of Pan Am's slogans?

A380 ads continuing the same theme:

Is the ad for damage control?

Should the slogon not be 'You will arrive in one piece even if our plane does not!'?

The "most experienced airline" ad campaign was actually launched in April and preceded all the safety-related incidents which begun with QF30 in July.

The latest ads are just an extension of that campaign because of the A380's launch.

Though yes the A380 did a fair bit in 'damage control', even though they treated the inaugural services as "business as usual" apart from Geoff Dixon's speech and gifts for F and J pax.

It was such a shame when my flight in Sept which had airconditioning packs replaced in HKG didn't make the news. I'd even prepared quotes along the lines of "that was a terrifying ordeal, I'm so glad to be alive." There goes my 15 mins of fame...

I still prefer the children's choir. But i guess they need to run something fresh. I also like the focus on the actual product, whereas the children's choir ads is more about establishing an emotional connection. They still have the children's choir from time to time belting out Peter Allen's song at promo events though.
