  • BA 747 wing hits building in JNB

Whoops...a little bigger than a baggage container.

Thankfully initial news reports say no-one was injured.

Ouch. The thread seems to infer that the crew lost its way. Too much Christmas celebration perhaps.

Latest news says 4 injured in the building itself. Hopefully not seriously.

Must have been quite a sight staring at an aircraft wing slicing into one's office in the middle of the night.

I'm pretty sure they will write off the 24 year old G-BNLL (June 1990 vintage)
            Planespotters says "Stored"....
            BA have alrready scrapped 3 1989 B744s

The C and FO have a lot of explaining to do - a similar sort of mistake led to SQ6.
But there was no rainstorm in JNB to worry about.
