Air France To Introduce Singapore-Jakarta

Air France has announced it'll extend it's daily Paris-Singapore flight to Jakarta effective S14.

Flights will be retimed with an earlier arrival into SIN, and later departure back to CDG to accommodate the tag. No word on if they have rights between SIN & CGK.

There seems to be a crazy amount of capacity being added to this route, and not just from Singaporean/ Indonesian carriers. British Airways is apparently set to extend BA11/12 to CGK, as is ET when SIN-ADD goes nonstop (whenever that may be).

Excellent. Certainly hope they have the SIN-CGK vv. rights. With both GA and SQ roundtrip J fares pushing the USD1k range, the arrival of AF and BA cannot come soon enough.

SQ just introduced D fares valid on certain days ex-CGK.
Indeed AF & BA re-entering SIN-CGK market is a good thing.
Timings of LH/AF SIN-CGK-SIN flights were quite good in the past.

On a 1h 20m flight, with a longhaul J seat priced at SQ Y fares (using sister co. KL SIN-DPS as a reference), I'll take it, merci beaucoup!

It seems no more A380 between CDG-SIN but rather double 77W with one extended to CGK

I beleive the bilateral agreement between the French and the Indonesian government allow AF to have a 5th freedom flight from SIN - CGK. If not mistaken, AF has 5th freedom rights from SIN, KUL, BKK, and CMB to CGK and DPS.

It's still the one daily 77W - just retimed. They will consider adding a second daily CDG-SIN-CDG flight if there's demand for one.
