  • Qantas Airways on brink of alliance with Emirates

    http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking...ry_826317.html

It was just a few years ago that QF wanted to get in alliance with MH. Definitely see SQ and BA benefitting if this move becomes concrete. On the other hand, biggest loser would be Changi Airport as QF is their biggest non-singaporean carrier operating in Changi.

If you can't beat them, might as well join them...

Now why would they wanna abandon SIN as a hub, don't they make money on their SIN-routed kangaroo route?

If they were to reroute the kangaroo route through DXB, wouldn't they basically be acting as a feeder for EK? EK might as well buy up QF International and leave it as a domestic airline.

QF really can't make up their minds what they want to do internationally, can they?

Well, if QF is gonna be exiting the SIN-LHR market, SQ and BA better be leasing some 748s soon

I'll believe it when I see it.

It's like I believed MH will jump into bed with QF.

            What's in it for EK?
