  • Steering issue hits Singapore-bound Qantas A380 during take-off

    More problems:

SYDNEY (AFP) - A Singapore-bound Qantas A380 flight was delayed for safety checks after a steering problem during take-off from London which saw the superjumbo veer off course, a spokesman for the airline said on Sunday.

The jet carrying 435 people had to return to the terminal after two failed take-off attempts due to a 'steering issue', the Qantas spokesman said. The flight, QF10, was delayed by four-and-a-half hours.

Steering seems to be a weak spot for A380.

I've been stuck on the taxiway before, waiting for a tow to the gate

( luckily off the runway already! )

Why do 99.99999999% of QF issues involve SIN?

Perhaps, more than half their flights go via SIN?
