Food seems to be superior on EK. On my last trip ICN-SIN in F:
1. Oxtail soup with a content only a third of the bowl. Couple of small strands of oxtail meat (you only need to swallow and biting not necessary)
. My memories of oxtail soup is more oxtail meat.
2. Salad. Cheap greens with a couple of bread crumbs. At first I thought it was chicken.
3. Satay. Was dry.
4. Main course. Difficult choice to make...not because of good choices but choosing the best amongst the worst. Selected the prawn dish. 3 pieces of slightly above average sized prawns.
5. Dessert. At least you have cheese cake. I have had chocolate ice cream with a couple of nuts.
6. Appetitiser. No further need to emphasis the obvious.
Had better F Class fare on regional flights last year. These days I just have the meals before boarding even when you travel in F Class Cabin. F Class service may after all not be the focus of the airline within six hours of travel time.
Have had a wonderful Szechuan food in Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai and excellent Beijing Duck in a small Wangfuqing's hotel in Beijing prior to two flights back to Singapore.
Saving Grace: LSS and LS were excellent in their service but will stick to C Class Cabin next round but will just skip paying F Class as it is not worth the experience anymore.
