Finally, the crew comes around with choccies also

Inspired by of course, by, Lady Godiva who flashed herself at the Sydney Mardi Gras in 2008.

I sneak a few pics of the rear of J as well - really does look like a nice product I could get used to, especially the window seats!

Soon enough - it's time to land (time flies when you're having fun)

And we are wheels on ground at 23:15 local, on time. The DXB pax are requested to stay on board. We then pull up to the gate, and I think that's the fastest 2 hour 25 minute flight I've ever been on.

Later: Thoughts, and comparison review vs SQ R and F [solely my own opinion of course]

    Hope you've enjoyed this TR!

Thanks for the report, EK is now at the forefront for hard products. Free Limo transfer, complimentary spa at Dubai, showers and bars at 43000 feet...what's next?

Thanks for the TR and shower video , SQfg! Really something different compared to boring F's and R's etc.

The F suite hardware seems comfortable but looks so tacky and bling!

10+ hours of uninterrupted sleep from SIN to LHR followed by a shower (with as much hot water as I want) ?

Thanks for a great TR! Way better than the last most recent one on the EK A380.

Given that I am now very predisposed to giving EK a chunk of my travel budget, that BKK-HKG, vv. sector may also come in handy for the odd mileage/status run, if required.

A word of caution that the C Lounge at DXB s*cks bigtime! It may be large, but was packed to the rafters when I last transitted, and woefully short of toilets!!

                    Wonderful TR as always SQfg!

EK is planning up to 25 weekly flights to KUL soon (that's almost 4 dailies) so there are more chances to fly the airline from our home ground (albeit not on the A380 yet). I also hope the airline will reinstate some shorter tag-ons from KUL like what they did with KUL-CGK-KUL tag-on some 4 years ago, so that at least a small time flyer like me can experience the delights and wonders of the carrier on shorter routes, which do not cost a year of salary or something. (Pssts... I am asking Santa a DXB-KUL-DPS vv flight this year with full traffic rights for the KUL-DPS vv tag-on and it is daily too).

The blinds are also controllable by the two buttons at the botton of the window pane.
Hey this is identical to the one used on MH's First Class. When I tried it the first time, I also had the same 'jakun' feeling about it LOL.

Thanks for the informative TR. Since I haven't flown on premium cabins on any A380s, I can't really judge here on who's better, but based on your TRs and sutrakh's A380 TR, both seem great. I like the shower idea, but as you said, for a long-haired guy like me, it's probably not much use.

Hope to see more in the future... perhaps an LH A380 TR down the road?

Gotta hand it to EK - they might have gone overboard with one or two things, but they do know that toys on a plane work!

You're welcome - it's why I stopped writing so much on SQ Trip reports. Tacky and bling it is, but there are oh so many toys I'll forgive them

I'll ask him also. Although what I'd reaaaaally want for christmas is a BKK-KUL-BKK tag on daily!

Glad I'm not alone in being the "sam pah poh" in 1K who looks like she's never been on a plane before!

One fine day I'll try them again, and threaten to walk out naked covered in soap and shampoo if they don't give me more hot water!

That does look pretty damn nice, if a little OTT. The Emirates advert does make me laugh, how long did she spend in the first class bathroom getting ready? I'm pretty positive the 5minute shower was about a 10th of the time in total....
