oh dear, seeing all these pics makes me realise I need to get off my butt and attend the next SQtalk function wherever it may be. I do believe Bangkok is the place to do it, and possibly a few of us BKK regulars, Kyo, myself, MAN Flyer, Lobster ( and im sure there is many others) should organise it?
You must persuade Kyo+ hard (really hard) to have one in BKK.... :biggrin
He's truly bloody good organizer...

That's for fuzzing out the halo circle on top of this green chap's head....
Thanks for reading, milehighj...

Chapter 5: SYD-CGK
The Sydney Airport...
I arrived at Kingsford-Smith Airport around 6.15am for my 9.15am flight.
I wanted to maximize my lounge experience there. It has been a while since my last visit to Qantas Business Class lounge 6 years ago....
The airport has been quite busy at that time. A lot of pax for morning flights.
The flight information display...
Some shoot of the check in area....
Emirate's crews queued up to drop off their luggage.....
GA's check in counters......
Qantas handled the check in process for GA.
GA also used QF J lounge for their J pax in SYD.
GA's Departure Express pass for their premium pax at SYD....
The quality of the paper used for this pass is better that SQ's or TG's.
GA used hard/thick paper, compared to SQ's or TG's which used thin paper.
The quality of the paper made this pass looked more exclusive, suited for their premium pax.
There was quite a line at the immigration counters.
In this condition, the Express pass became handy to cut off the line.
There was a spacial line for immigration and security check for the pass holder., which save you a lot of time compare to the regular line at that time.Last edited by Dent@SUB; 29 August 2010, 11:54 PM.

After cleared the immigration and security check, I went to the GST refund office.
Now there was a real queue there. No priority line for premium pax...
After finished with this GST thing, here some shoots of SYD airport, post renovation, airside area....
Not spent too much time there, just enough time to take some pictures, I went to the Qantas Lounge.....Last edited by Dent@SUB; 29 August 2010, 11:56 PM.

The QF Lounge...
Qantas Lounges located on the second floor.
Right after the escalator, there's Qantas F Lounge.
For the J lounge, we must went a little bit further...
The entrance of Qantas J lounge....
The receptionist of the lounge....
Looking to the entrance....
The receptionist just scanned my BP, and said welcome to the Qantas Lounge and wished me enjoy the lounge...
The lounge it self literally a big long room.
It was imaginary divided into 3 sections, with a long bar table dominated the mid section.
Each section has its own buffet area, drinks selection and own toilet.
Internet station dominated at one end with the No Cell Phone area at the other end.
Some shoots of the lounge....
The long table...

Each section has its own buffet area.
And they were arranged in the similar setting.
There's a nice selection of food for breakfast. And they even have "Pancake Machine", so your pancake would be always hot and freshly bake.
There's also a nice selection of drinks. Alcohol and non-alcohol.
And they served MOET for the champagne...
Some shoots of the buffet area, from all section....

I saw this from the lounge.
A heaven for aircraft's lovers.
This facility that become rare and rarer in the name of security concern....
The lift there really work. I saw people went in and out to the viewing deck...
Really really nice facility at SYD....
Now it was time to have shower and toilet inspection....
And it turned out to be a nice experience.....
Stay tuned....Last edited by Dent@SUB; 30 August 2010, 12:05 AM.

Toilet run....
First stop....
Shower room at the left section....
There's a counter at the entrance of the shower complex with stack of towels and other amenities like toothbrush, shaver, and comb.
We should grab our self a towel if we wanted to use the shower room.
The shower room it self quite nice, with a toilet inside (note that SKL!!!), which is become very handy for us.
The shower it self used the "rain shower" type....

This toilet was a nice one. Looked quite chick.... Love it..
And it's come with Molton Brown amenities also.... Nice!!!
No urinals, just real toilet rooms...
If only SKL in SIN also used some good quality brand.... not just some mysterious house brand with some mysterious quality of products...
