I had the same thing.. One agent took my passport when I was escorted at LAX as a passenger in F. However, I was like, can I please have my passport back now? . (If you've seen The Terminal, you'd know why )

It makes me to take two passports with me next time (HKSAR Passport and BN(O)).

Remember my last time in CGK, the transit agent brough me out to landside through passport control to have my boarding pass rather than taking my passport.

A trip back in time! - especially those in-seat controls with rotating dials for volume and channel.
I am considering a turnaround in DAC too. The crowds around the transfer desk look worrying. I'm glad you actually made it.

It's time for me to dig out my 1980s Ken-Air bag and bell-bottom pants for the trip!

Those in-seat controls are not function now, so no reading lights, no earphone and no call button.

When I approached the transfer desk, there were only 3-4 persons overthere, after the agent took my passport, the mess started to form. I think they were not transit passengers because they have no hand luggage, they shouted to the agents to distribute some slips/receipts to them. So I just escape and stand beside the wall. But I can say that DAC airport is not that bad.

Having said that, I'm so seriously mulling a ride on RA's 757's to KTM. That might be worth a TR

Well, it is so rare that the classic aircrafts still flying in and out HKG (No need to fly other 24hrs to catch the flight), so why don't give it a try especially on an aircraft that older than me

For 757, it is on my wishlist also, may try it later this year by taking China domestic flights.

No photo rule still there, that's why the FA asked me to delete the pics.

But thanks to the FAs, they hide in the galley after the meal service, so taking photos was not a great problem for this flight.
