ah, 3-3-3 is at least marginally better than 3-4-3 at the centre. But if i can help it, dont want to fly such long distances anymore

I don't think I'd want to fly TAM long-haul. The state of BA Y loos at the end of a couple of flights between LHR and BKK has made me avoid BA on my trips to SE Asia.
