Due to the rather non-exciting nature of my entire trip (LAX-NRT-TPE-ICN-NRT-LAX), the bulk of which was on Delta's BusinessElite (although I must say they have improve since the old NW days), I am only writing this TR on the TPE-ICN on Korea Airlines First experience. I have probably reviewed the LAX-NRT-LAX a few times, so lets skip it.
Check-In:
Very pleasant at the Taoyuan Terminal 1 F-counter. Due to Chinese New Year, airports were quite crowded and they were checking in passengers from all classes at the F-counter. As I stood in line, an agent from one of the J-counters took me and proceeded to check me in. Flight was about 1-hr delayed due to de-icing at Seoul before its in-bound trip. 777-200... standard 3-class configuration w/o the new Kosmo Suites.
Lounge:
Spent about 1.5 hours at the China Airlines F-class lounge. This lounge (and what they serve) has not changed in the past 5 years. You go sit, they bring a menu of dim-sum, sandwiches, drinks. You order... they bring it and you eat. If I was taking a late-day flight, I would use the shower and F-class passengers get bumped up the shower 'waiting list' if there are lots of folks in the J-lounge that have signed up.
Boarding:
Boarding was uneventful and breezed right in. The check-in agent told me I am solo, so I chose 2B and proceeded to find my seat:
Flight:
2 attendants + pursar providing full attention. Had about 3 glasses of wine BEFORE take-off with some nuts (I asked them to warm it, which they gladly obliged). I hard boarded early, so it was about 40 minutes before we decided to proceed to the runway. The flight attendant didn't come around to take my wine glass until we were just about to turn into the holding area - which I appreciated.
Food:
Relatively short flight, so appetizer, main-course and fruit-selection. Of course, the standard offerings of alcohol were available.
Cabin layout:

Appetizer:

Main Course:

Fruit Selection:

Overall a rather pleasant and smooth trip. Seoul of course was freezing, so had to put on the many layers of jackets prior to venturing out.
On my way back to LAX and transiting in NRT (Delta Sky Club). Back for a week and then off to LAX-SIN-BOM-CMB-SIN-LAX next week on SQ F... which is a whole other experience!
Cheers!
