I don't know which piece of land this is, but what I'm really curious about is where the light source is coming from.

Refraction of the setting sun. Under the right atmospheric conditions the sun can be seen well after sunset, as in the case captured in your picture.

Excellent Trip Report. Didin't get a chance to look at it till now. Unless Sq decides to open up the Suites class for *A redemption or I win the lottery, I doubt I'll get to fly the A380 Suites.
