  • A quick Silkair experience

Greetings, here's a quick TR on Silkair's Economy from KUL-SIN. We'll let pictures do more of the talking

today's flight is MI335, which used to be SQ109 some time ago . Apparently both SQ and MH codeshare . Also check-in staff are now MI's.. We get a SQ BP, surprisingly

Boarding gate is C11, not C2 for MI flights, of which you have to walk further after getting off the aerotrain. At the holding gate I saw SVA still at the gate, supposed to depart way before us as SQ 109 (Or some other flight), perhaps delayed? Good to see her again from my last year's flight to SGN.

Right next to her is a Qatar Airways A330, bound for Doha or DPS soon. I wonder do they use airstairs for Y passengers here too?

Soon after it was time to board the A320, 9V-SLD. Very friendly crew onboard, and very helpful indeed . Sadly no warm towels given, they're only on SQ . The captain was an Australian who announced flying time was approx 30 mins today, taking us through some thunderstorm clouds. Safety demo was done manually, not the video screen that slides down and shows the vid. Takeoff was on 14R, and along the way we saw some nothing but airbuses.

One from Vietnam (i think the only 321 flying into KUL...)

A local A332 getting her engines checked. Going to DPS soon i think.

A Taiwanese that pushed back after us, yet tookoff before us! ..(I thought they use B738s for M'sia flights)

And one from Burma that just landed.

We lifted off on time and flew South-east. Drinks were served, the usual juices, coffee, tea. Also has anyone noticed the middle seat is slightly wider?

    Almost there now

Touchdown! Taxiing along T3 (but no A380 in sight )

    A new A330.

Surprisingly, MI flights for KUL-SIN are full, I thought they were always empty

KUL-SIN's a huge people mover. The array of flights available is mindboggling.

The only shame is that there's not enough SQ ones - thanks for sharing the report nonetheless

I did take some but they were too dark or too blur (I'm not a good picture taker )
