    And we continue:

Just as the Ukrainian city of Donetsk wafts by effortlessly underneath us, it's time for the main course. Or is it that Madame 9V-SWS is making it seem all so easy. We're making good speed, and she's been working hard all day. Her tiny GE90-115B's have been purring along smoothly. They may make 115,000lbs static at sea level - but not right now

So what do you feed a traveller whom we've established as being rather unadventurous? Why, the BTC lobster of course

This one was so prettily presented - almost didn't have the heart to eat it. Of course, not Stargold MOAL size... but still, too much of a good thing isn't what i'm after

LHR! That's where SWS ends her shift today. For the uninitiated, LHR is the code for London Heathrow. A small grass-strip airport just west of the small eponymous village it serves. LHR sees about 2 traffic movements a week, so we shouldn't have too much trouble coming in.

Now you got the platter under your dinner (or it is lunch?) plate....
Just curious, where was this guy wandering around and came so late to full fill his duty to this nice lady...

Gosh I didn't notice these things. Award for eagle eyed SQTalker goes to Dent@SUB

Anyway - regarding the table linen + satay combo - A crew member has kindly explained this to me: It's no mistake. This is if a passenger indicates that he or she wants to continue very quickly after the satay onto the main meal. In which case, they'll lay the linen, do the satay and then soon after proceed with the rest.

          To wrap things up:

          Are we there yet?

Seems Mr. Captain decides he wants to go back to Singapore. Or, we've been vectored into a RWY09L arrival....

Ah good ol' blighty - THIS is where we'll find the wizard of oz!

Madam SWS is on the ground 15:08 local. She's refuses to defy gravity any further. I'm greeted by the sight of a few familiar planes.

330 million quid for THIS? I'd rather own the ones in the background thank you very much. SMB's scored a winner here and he knows it.

Motley assortment of *A carriers to grace this little airstrip

It's neck and neck down the front straight. CIVB and SWS are both fighting for the same piece of tarmac!

A sharp left - and SWS edges ahead! Who says Formula 1 has no overtaking?

            Tehran anyone?

For your 330 million, we'll throw in this as well.

In reality though.... the wolf was after THIS: - a coveted LHR slot. Symbolised by this empty gate

But for now, the Wolf will have to wait, for stand 340 is meant to receive 9V-SWS today, where she earns a nice short break, disgorges her belly of passengers and their accoutrements, grabs a quick bite of Jet A-1, has a doctor come check her wounds if any, and prepares for the 6765 mile hike back home as SQ319.

As for me, I'm on the Piccadilly line down to town to see the wizard with Elphaba and Glinda..... who I spent a rather nice day down at the GoldMine and the WhiteCity with

Anyway, just to tag a little side report onto this one: A few people asked me

Q1) How come my English has gone down the gutter

Q2) and how i managed to find the wizard of Oz.

Answers below (All pictures courtesy of Sir I and jjpb3 - who kindly lent them to me for this:

A1) Fans of the musical wicked will know why For those that don't - parts of it are spoken in an overembellishified versionification of what we might call English

A2) How I found the Wizard: easy
                    - SQ to London Heathrow
                    - TFL from London Heathrow to Apollo Victoria
                    - and, a super cast to take you straight from Apollo Victoria to the Land of OZ. Simple innit?

We want emerald City! Not White City! Doh!

The wizard of oz, is of course found in the aforementioned Emerald City.

But..... we need to get past this guy first!

Plus - the Evil Wizard also trapped one of our party in a devious contraption!

Once we're there - we just might catch a glimpse of him! And we do, so we can go home happy! Turns out he's pretty harmless!

And to wrap things up properly: An excerpt from the Lyrics of "Defying Gravity", a track in this musical (and part of this report title, as well as the inspiration to even write the report). Quite apt for SQTalkers don't you think?

So if you care to find me
                    Look to the western sky!
                    As someone told me lately:
"Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"
                    And if I'm flying solo
                    At least I'm flying free
                    To those who'd ground me
Take a message back from me
                    Tell them how I am
                    Defying gravity
                    I'm flying high
                    Defying gravity
And soon I'll match them in renown
And nobody in all of Oz
No Wizard that there is or was
Is ever gonna bring me down!

Must have been quite a chore lugging that EOS450D around huh? You're flying AK?

I'm doing "first class" in the KUL-PEN train (overnighting Friday, arrival PEN early Saturday AM). Let's see how that goes A little nerve-wrecking I must admit..

You get used to the weight. But anyway yeah, did a day trip to KBR yesterday.... WITHOUT my IC or Passport. Didn't think of bringing my passport because I thought my IC was in my purse. Turns out I took it out at some stage whilst changing purses and forgot to put it back in.

Rather stressful time at the airport having to beg to prove I was who I said I was. In the end I made both flights though.

Not a daft question at all.

I wonder what the Suites seat product is internally coded then?
