Quick SQ-F trip from LAX to SIN and PVG

Well... I must say the airline gods must be making up for last week (see the disaster Northwest trip report below). Anyways, just found out while checking in that I am solo-F today from LAX-NRT . KVS confirms it although looks like one person will join from NRT-SIN.

Little to no traffic today from where I live (about 40 miles north of LAX), so left home at around 12:30pm and was at LAX by 1:15. Got to the F check-in counter by 1:20 and walked right up. In fact, there was no one in the economy section and one person pulled up at the business section just as I arrived. I did check one piece of luggage in through to PVG. Got my boarding passes and proceeded through security. As I was standing in the priority lane at TBIT security the lovely SQ staff were coming through as well. Of course I had to remove all sorts of clothing to pass through security. I am wearing shorts and loafers so couldn't be more 'traveller friendly'! Anyways, got through that mess and headed to the TBIG *A lounge. The elevator was giving trouble, so climbed up two flights of stairs. I did go for my 5K run this morning, so was feeling pretty peppy anyways.

I am at the lounge now and am having a nice glass of white wine. Food is pretty dismal (as previously mentioned) so I won't be taking pictures of the lounge whatsoever. I am using my iPhone so resolution is not going to be optimal. More pictures to follow during the flight, so check-in when I get into NRT.

Having my Dom as I write this. LSS recognized me from my last trip (well I recognized her as well!). Confirmed solo in F... shall keep everybody posted.

Too bad they don't serve Krug until after take-off.

Now in the ANA F-Lounge at NRT, so time to update on the trip. It was absolutely lovely today. All the attention... all the space, like my own private jet! The LSS made 2A my 'bedroom' and 1B (assigned seat) was the 'media room'. The seat right behind 1B was for my carry-on and served as the 'closet'. At one point I did sit in 4A to chat with the Japanese LSS.

The luck must be continuing... I was granted access to the T3 F-Lounge prior to my continuing flight (SIN-PVG in J-class) so here I am having some fish curry and rotti... this stuff is yummy!! When I arrived in the wee hours of the morning I stopped by the T3 SKL and chatted up the lounge dragon and she actually got me a room at the transit hotel for a 6hr block (was sold-out for the past two weeks). After a nice nap and shower I made my way up to the T3 SKL again and thanked her for getting me the room and how it gave me good rest, she's doing a great job... etc. She promptly took me to the F-Lounge and here I am. I should have mentioned TPR - could have been a first for a J-class BP

Let me go talk to the SQ folks and see if they will bump me into F-class for the SIN-PVG flight. Due to MPM, it was ridiculous to book the whole thing in F-class, so I got J instead.

BTW, I was really pooped last night and didn't eat anything in the NRT-SIN sector nor take any pictures... just slept away.

Part of my return journey now. I arrived from PVG at around 1am and checked at the transit hotel - no availability. Walked over the SKL lounge and they recommended using the J-class sofa to sleep for a few hours. Someone had thrown up at the T2 F-lounge slumberette area so they discouraged me from going there. The courteous staff provided pillows and a duvet. There were probably 1-2 others sleeping as well (sans duvet and pillow!) I was given a prod at around 6am per my request and proceeded to the F-class area for a shower. After a long, refreshing shower I made my way over to TPR - no invitation since I was in transit. Anyways, quick glance at the BP and the lady escorted me in. In fact, the lounge lady invited me into TPR last night also, but they close at 1am so no point hanging around at that time.

She suggested I have b-fast, so indulged in some rotti-prata - quite tasty indian fare. Now sitting in the TV lounge section and will likely leave TPR in about 20 mins as its rather boring actually!

I took a few pics on the iPhone but will post them later on after I take some shots from the flight today.

Took a look at KVS and the flight is absolutely full in F and J today. Quite contrary to my solo-F earlier this week from LAX-NRT!! In any case, should be a pleasant flight and looking forward to getting back home.

Full 12/12 flight today. Supervisor said 7 will continue through LAX plus 1 new passenger - KVS confirms 8/12. Didn't eat anything on SIN-NRT section as I feel like I have just been eating for the past week! I will hae my Nigiri Sushi BTC ex-NRT and try to sleep the rest of the way until arrival.
