The trip started out on a SMRT ride to the airport from my house approx. 3 hours before departure. We alighted at Terminal 3 and proceeded to the Business class Check-in. The whole process was painless and there were no queues and our bags were off to Brisbane. Our flight was schedule to leave at 00:10 and we had 2 hours to kill, thus off to the lounge.
As this was my first visit to the lounge, i did not know where to go. i took the longer way past the cathay pacific lounge and the krisflyer gold lounge. Then finally, the immaculately clean lounge appeared in front of my eyes.
The Business class section of the SKL was not surprisingly, full and i needed to walk a few rounds before i found a sofa beside the small window looking towards the interior of the terminal(and i thought it was supposed to offer views of the tarmac too).
But after a few minutes of unproductive rest, i headed out to have some retail therapy and then head out to the gate earlier before the security screening gets jam-packed with people.
Gate A20 is located at the far end of Terminal 3 and is also a part of something like a holding room where there are 3 gates surrounding.
We then waited until 2340 when boarding for "PPS club members, Star alliance gold members and business class members" started. As usual, all the Economy class passengers started bottlenecking the gate and i had to wedge through some passengers before i could board.
I had a tinge of excitement upon stepping on the jetbridge as it was my first time on Business class and first time to board before anyone else.
