Not long got back from a stunning visit to Seattle.

Not really there to do sight seeing etc, but there as part of my work with Boeing, visiting all their facilities and top echelon folk on their airplane programs.

Just a few teaser shots for now, still gotta sort out the thousands of images I have from the worlds largest building (by volume!).

Will update the thread on my review on BA's Club World services later on!

    Boeing factory

Would anyone know how I could get to the Boeing factory from a hotel in downtown Seattle or the airport?

    Many thanks.

I'd love to just camp out by an assembly line and watch a bird being put together

Try viator.com IIRC it's slightly more than 50USD for a 4 hour tour that includes transport vv.

I would rent a car and include the Museum of Flight as well since you're in SEA area. And go to Alki beach in the evenings to take some beautiful pictures of SEA skyline.

Ironic this thread is up - I'll be adding some fresh 747-8F images as well as images of the 787 line in the coming days - I'll post the URL here accordingly

                      Nice TR.

We were there also in August after an Alaskan Cruise. Neat market area!

Thanks, Nick C. I've checked out the site and unfortunately they're not doing any tours on the Saturday I'm there.

There are however other companies offering tours on the day I'm there.

Excellent idea, 9V-JKL. But I'm rather apprehensive about driving on the wrong side of the road by myself , though I don't think that would be stopping me from doing it.

I would very likely be overnighting at one of the airport hotels. Would it be a long drive to both the Boeing factory and the Museum of Flight from the airport and between the two sites?

                        Thanks!

Museum of Flight is probably no more than 15mins drive from SEA. Boeing would be probably another 30-40mins from Museum of Flight depending on the time of the day. If there's 2 of you, you can use the carpool lane. Again, it all depends how fast/slow you drive.
