  • TU712 CMN-TUN in J

This trip happened way back in Dec 24th. 2007....
Because this airlines seldom to be mentioned, I try to share my experience with them. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures.

    TU712
    Sector: CMN-TUN
    Date: 24Dec'07
    Class: J
    ETD: 10.10
    ETA: 13.35
    Aircraft: A320
    Name: Hannibal

This sector is part of my last year long trip, SUB-SIN-MAN-FRA-CMN-TUN-LGW-BDA-LGW-TUN-FRA-PVG-SIN-SUB

After 3 days in exotic Casablanca, Morocco, it was time heading for my next destination, Tunis in Tunisia.
My flight this time was with Tunis Air. Never been with this airlines before, so I was excited with this flight.
From my hotel at downtown to Mohammed V (CMN) airport was about 1 hour taxi ride.
Check in at CMN for TU was handled by Royal Air Maroc (AT), at CMN old terminal.
After checked in, I headed to the CMN new terminal, TU departed from new terminal.

CMN new terminal check in desk, which were still empty.....

Imigration was a breeze at CMN.
TU used AT lounge for their J pax.
AT lounge was nice and spacious, full of natural light with a view to appron.

    AT lounge....

The coffee was very nice, forgot what brand they are.....

    View from the lounge....

    My ride to TUN.....

    Around gate area.....

There was no priority boarding fo J pax, and it was 1 hour late....

    J class seat...

They have Pvt Monitor for this kind of aircraft, but unfortunely, they didn't activated it for this short flight, only 2h25m...

    Seat control....

It was raining, so these're what I saw while taxiing....

Food for lunch was amazing in portion. There were 2 option, beef or seafood. I opted the later...

Although the food was good, the service was mediocore.

We arrive at TUN late, and because we came along with big Emirates bird, the imigartion was a pain....
But after all, Tunis is a nice city to visit....

Haha yes. The coffee brand is definitely the office Nespresso. They have different capsules - we also have them at our office ... I don't really like the coffee, except a short espresso from the black capsules and maybe a lungo from the standard-green ones. I don't really like both of the browns and the dark-green

Anyway, superb trip report like your last one Dent@SUB! Hope to see more in the future - I really enjoy them!

              All the best from Austria

Welcome & Grüezi to yet another SQTalker from Central Europe ... welcome Rechi! Hope you have a splendid time here!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I am enjoing SQTalk since long time (in the background).

                      @Florian
For sure Nespresso can never compete with all the great Vienna coffees but it's quite good, clean and fast for Switzerland (and for free in our office)

Again, another wonderful report. I love the pictures of Tunis. Wish I could visit there sometimes.

That's the most extensive lunch I have ever seen served on an airline for a 2:25 hour flight.
