You're right, and I do have pictures but as you may appreciate, posting on the internet general shots of Kowloon or any other place is very different from posting pictures of individuals. For us it ok, you know, and many (e.g. myself, jhm, phaleesy, Nickbot, taipeiflyer and all the rest who are too many to mention) have indeed posted pics of ourselves on this forum at one stage or another.

But with all due respect I think it is fair to say that it's always best to protect the identity and not expose publicly people that we do not know well and/or have not in advance asked their permission to do so.

I had encounters with European and Asian girls before, but never one with a central/south American girl. What a different feeling, the least I can say at the moment...

Well said; I couldn't agree more.

Loved reading your TR, as always.

Nice pictorial report, N_Architect - thanks for sharing.
Any nice pics of your purchase/s at the Cartier shop?
All opinions shared are my own, and are not necessarily those of my employer or any other organisation of which I'm affiliated to.

This time it was two pens, a fountain pen and a ball pen.
A nice pen, whether it is a ball pen, roller or pencil, is a beauty to write with and stays with you forever.
Although I am not a specialist or collector, Cartier pens are very nice, their handling and weight balance is superb.

              Fab!
As I lose my pens half the time I'm happy with the 5 dollar pens I get from the uni bookshop.

N_Architect, I understand and agree with you and I think I can speak for the others that we were just teasing you. I'm sorry if the earlier post had offended you.

No, I was not offended in any way, and thank you for mentioning this.

I know you guys were teasing me, and additionally felt I could take this opportunity and make a rather general statement on the use of pictures. It may sounded kind of serious but it was mostly for me, not for the fact that I was offended by your earlier replies (which I wasn't).

You see, we go out there, we travel, we take pics of any street, city, aircraft interior, etc. Sometimes in those pics there are people and faces who just happened to be there and were by accident captured in the shot. Normally their face or eyes should be protected (by use of software such as photoshop, etc.) but I personally seldom do it as it increases my post-processing time. However, I feel for myself that this practice is best to be avoided and I'll try next time to protect faces of included people, as far as practically possible.

For example, take this HKG trip: On the return day, I board the aircraft. I am in 31A, sitting and taking the classic legroom shot. Pax are boarding the plane, but most seats in Y are empty. Then immediately I turn right, still seated, and take a profile picture of the middle seats in the Y cabin. One row is already occupied by three ladies, one of them appears clearly on the photo taken (see post #8, fifth picture). Normally her face should be covered. My intention was only to capture a profile view of seat pitch, and she just happened to be there.

                    And something else:

In my previous trip, ICN-ATH rtn last month (as described in my TR 'Short mid-summer Mediterranean escape'), I asked and was photographed with a green kebaya FA and a male FA in the J cabin, at the end of the SIN-ATH flight. An SQ on-duty pilot who was occupying seat 16K during that flight (flight time was 11hrs and 35mins so they had a 2+2 flight deck crew that night) offered to take the three of us a couple of pictures with my camera upon arrival in ATH.

I have those two pictures with the FAs but have not posted any on this forum. Would the green kebaya FA or the male FA really want their face and picture appear on any web page? I don't know. May be they wouldn’t actually mind, but may be also they seriously would. I may have the right to share my personal memories and experiences here and anywhere, but when these memories involve others, that same right just stops there. This is what I feel I should be doing, anyway.

N_Architect, thank you very much for your TR and pictures. HK has a special place in my heart (not for the same reasons as you though but due to it being in effect my ancestral home ). I particularly enjoyed the HK street scenes and the sunset pictures.

As you were flying KA which is part of OW, how did you manage to get into the PUS OZ lounge ?

No side view of the cruise ship in one of your photos ?

Trip was PUS-HKG rtn. Used my newly received KF *G card to enter the lounge.

Was too sunny outside during that time of the day, jhm. Light is pretty harsh from around noon to 5pm or so generally, so it's not the ideal time for good shots. Admit, though, I could have taken a snap of her.

Your trip was PUS-HKG rtn on KA ? I still don't understand how you managed to get into the Star Alliance OZ lounge using your KF *G card even though you were flying on a Oneworld carrier.

Flights are sold as CX and are always taken by KA. Lounge is also for Dragonair, as you can see from the airline names on the board outside the lounge.

Wanted to check if I can indeed use the lounge (as *G) even though I am not on *A flight, and the lounge dragon allowed me in. Five other pax entered the lounge later on, and all of them were travelling Y on same flight as me (but of course I don't know their FFP status).

It sounds like the lounge dragon was being more lenient than the rules allow.
