  • Congratulations! This trip report has the highest number of viewers so far. Almost 33,000!!! And yet, the ultimate SQ F experience (good and bad) has not been revealed yet!

In the other note, hope Mrs Nickbot is recovering well from her cycling accident couple days ago! Hope these will cheer her up!

    • It has the highest number of views because we keep checking back to see if it will ever be finished. The Sistine Chapel keeps popping into my mind for some reason. I don't know why,

That's true. Nickbot knows how to play his game.
Come on Nickbot, I saw you on line this morning and afternoon. Searching for some inspirations?

The latter was accomplished with relative ease, but taking photographs with the attendants omnipresence was a little strange, especially as they probably saw the camera flash coming from within the toilet cubicle!
Nickbot, what cunning strategy did you use to gain access? Did Mrs Nickbot create a diversion? Were you able to stay and enjoy the ameneties or did you just have a quick look around?

I will be passing through in similar circumstances soon...

BTW, great report , you've gone to a lot of trouble!

Indeed. Writing a trip report does take effort; for drafting, selecting the most appropriate (or prettiest ) pictures, editing (though I still manage to have far too many typos in mine ). And the amount of energy that has gone into writing this highly esteemed TR must have been tremendous. I'd hope people are able to see that nickbot has taken out whatever spare time he has from his v busy schedule to entertain and inform us with his TR, and be just that little bit more patient* waiting for the grand finale.

Thanks for your positive comments maxmin I simply asked the Private Room attendent if I could have a quick look around. I presume she granted my request because there were hardly any guests in TPR at that time, and perhaps she felt a little guilty on behalf of SQ in not permitting those of us who have worked hard earning miles in the back rows of the 'plane to have a "full" F experience

To answer your question directly, I was only in there for probably 2 minutes, enough to be shown the facilities and take a few photos -escorted all the time, so no opportunity to use/abuse the facilities! I hope your trip goes well,...TPR reallyy isn't the be-all and end-all, so don't lose sleep over not getting access (i.e. do what SQ expects you to do, put up and shut up ). Not sure if it helps, but a mention to TPR attendents about your displeasure regarding the access rules is probably worth it,...but remember they are just enforcing the rules

KeithMEL, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm presently working on the conclusion to the TR offline, but I have to confess that this is the most difficult TR I've written in terms of time commitment and also doing justice to the experience You're more than justified to do a little foot tapping mate!

Sounds like someone will end the trip report with "unworthy of the mileage usage on SQ F." Too many negative things happened on your last segment, eh?

                      • SUPERB TR and enjoyed reading every bit of it. Very well written and the pictures are fantastic! Can't wait to read the last remaining segment that gets posted!

                        Cheers.

                          Ahh, it wasn't all negative

Losing one's virginity can often be a disappointing experience so I'm told

Some of us are rather lazier and write as a stream of thoughts while they are still fresh in mind (or as soon as possible given constraints about internet access).

My latest TR is almost up to date, and now includes some SQ & MI flights, plus a couple of lounges I didn't know existed.
                            ..

                            • This is a great trip report - something we should all aspire to.
Though I think my days will be empty once nickbot has finished regaling us with tales of this journey. We need another to step up and take on nickbot's mantle. Anyone willing to subsidise SQTraveller?

                              • I'm planning on doing a (first) TR in November.... I really feel like I have to give back.... may not be as elaborate as Nickbot though, be warned!
