I have tried BR. Was really impressed with the seats and getting cup noodles

That was before SQ Y+ was born.

Now SQ Y+ is extinct, I may once again try BR to West Coast

Very tempted to try SIN-TPE-EWR too but the 1 hour connection at TPE is tight.

If I miss the connection??.... BR flies 3x weekly to EWR

The otherproblem is that I am a SQ PPS addict now

According to some posts in the other forum, BR has now stopped serving cup noodles in Deluxe/Elite.

I never experience the Elite seat, but flew Deluxe quite a few times KUL-TPE-(SEA/ANC)-EWR. The last time I flew the eastbound itinerary was in 2004 where I was routed via SIN as BR228 KUL-TPE arrives after BR32 departs and BR was no longer providing overnight accommodation at TPE. The connection at TPE was short, but I got the impression that BR32 would wait for connecting passengers. But of course I was less worried then as BR32 was still operating 5x per week or daily. 3x weekly now is just too infrequent.

I've always found it a pleasure to fly BR in Deluxe. Obviously, any low-density premium economy product is a blessing to passengers who don't get to fly in front. And now SQ's Executive Economy is history...
