Flight time to Osaka was 50 minutes today. We took off from the new runway opened last year. Nothing special with the flight. I got to see the manifest. All Class J seats except one was filled with JMB Elites.

With load factors like those, no wonder JL is haemorrhaging money. Doesn't bode well at all for their recovery plan!

Kobe is my hometown so I'll be able to give details about it, but please tell me what you people want to know about this city.

Someone once told me that Kobe (which I've never been to) has some of the most attractive and elegant ladies in Japan! And lots of shops (or department stores) with beautiful goods - much better than nearby Osaka.

Hmmm, what other tit bits do I know about Kobe ? The Mount Rokko view is meant to be very nice ? There's a SPG but it's stuck in the middle of nowhere. There's a small Chinatown. Kobe is near the so called Beverly Hills of Japan too!

I think it'll be a nice place to spend a night or two far from the madding crowd of Osaka ?

One thing which I do like about JL domestic flights (which I don't get with BA domestic or shorthaul) is the strictly observed priority boarding system used even if it's a 1-class or 2-class plane.

A flipchart at the front showing the current stage in the process and announcements. Kiddies etc first. F pax (if there's F), OW emeralds and JMB equivalents next. And then the rest. Everyone is so well trained/behaved to only go up when it's their turn!

Speaking from personal experience, this does hold true. However, Akita is more known for it.
